Board of Directors
ROSS BRAUN (January 2017 – January 2020) Ross Braun started volunteering with therapeutic riding centers in 1988 and became a PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Accreditation Site Visitor in 2000. He volunteers at Ride On St. Louis and Exceptional Equestrians of the Missouri Valley. Ross earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture at Western Illinois University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Missouri. He retired as a conservationist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 2010. Ross is a Fellow with the Soil and Water Conservation Society and served as secretary of the Board of Directors. Ross was president of the Maryland Council for Equestrian Therapies, served on the St. Louis Therapeutic Horsemanship Board of Directors and was elected to the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship Board of Trustees in 2010 and is the 2017 president-elect, serving as president in 2018 and 2019.
DOMINIC LAMPASI (February 2017 – February 2020) born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, applies his Midwest work ethic to his passions and profession. Dominic is the Director of Business Development for CBS Altitude Group. Dominic personifies the words ‘multi-media’; he has worked in sporting event sponsorships, television, out-of-home, digital, and radio. Dominic was introduced to Ride On St. Louis in 2010 when he served at a Junior Board Member. When Dominic isn’t indulging in his work, you can find him renovating his home or watching his daughter from the bleachers at gymnastics.
TERA MCCOOL (January 2017 – January 2020) worked for Monsanto Company for 11 years, most recently as the New Technology and System Improvement Lead and is currently an Adjunct Professor at Jefferson College. Dr. McCool received her PhD from Case Western Reserve University in Immunology and performed her postdoctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. McCool is an avid equestrienne, currently owns three horses which she cares for at her home, and takes dressage lessons. Dr. McCool has been involved with ROSL since 2008 both as a supporter and volunteer.
MARITA WASSMAN (January 2015 – January 2018) is a founding officer and serves as Program Director for Ride On St. Louis. Marita is an Advanced Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH). Marita has over 40 years of experience with a variety of equestrian enterprises and has trained at Rolling Acres Stable under Liz Young Millard, a member of the 1968 United States Olympic Equestrian Team.
